In this episode, we talk with Leesa about the Captain Planet Foundation, including its work, initiatives, mission, and the future of the youth in scaling sustainability. 
Leesa Carter is the president and CEO of the Captain Planet foundation which she has led since 2012. Under her leadership, the organization has successfully launched the Project Learning Garden, Project Hero, co-founded the Ocean Heroes program to help activate youth, run effective campaigns against the plastic pollution and climate crises, and much more.
 
She has over 25 years of executive-level experience in sustainability-focused organizations. Prior to joining CPF, Leesa served as Executive Director for the U.S. Green Building Council – Georgia Chapter as a leading advocate and educator for sustainable communities, green jobs and green building. 
Leesa is a recognized and respected speaker in the fields of sustainability, environmental stewardship, and youth education programs.
