Vox Media And Funny Or Die Form Strategic Digital Platform Partnership

Funnyordie.Com To Join Vox Media’s Technology and Advertising Platform

Today we are thrilled to announce a new, exciting partnership beginning this Summer that will bring Funny Or Die, the popular comedy video brand, onto Vox Media’s premium technology, audience and advertising platform.

While Funny Or Die will remain its own company– editorially independent with an independent sales team– the comedy video brand will operate on Chorus, Vox Media’s proprietary technology and suite of products for developing and growing digital media brands.

Together, we’ll also explore co-developed video and production projects leveraging Funny Or Die’s relationships with top comedic talent and the premium production capabilities of both our companies.

“Funny Or Die is an innovative entertainment brand and, through this partnership, we will work together to grow their digital audience, increase the discoverability of their incredibly popular video content, and create more opportunities for monetization on our platform,” said Trei Brundrett, Chief Operating Officer, Vox Media.

FunnyOrDie.com will also join Concert, the publisher-led marketplace launched by Vox Media and NBCUniversal. Concert provides a truly safe place for advertisers to drive business results with beautiful ads that actually work.

Vox Media and Bill Simmons Media Group announced a similar partnership last May that brought the popular sports, culture, and tech brand The Ringer onto Chorus.

Since officially joining Chorus in August 2017, The Ringer has seen a substantial increase in monthly audience size. The Ringer is also available to brand advertisers via Concert and represented by Vox Media’s global sales team.
